(Me) and Chuck Smith
My wife and I were watching TV around the end of December in 2003,
when we seen Chuck Smith, with his Christmas display on HGTV.
What a cool idea, he is definitely the Grandfather of a grand idea.
Heres the segment of Chuck's display on HGTV.
We found out Chuck had a web site called

There were lots of people in the
CHAT ROOM at Planet Christmas to help.
This was all made possible because of Chuck's willingness to share.

In 1973, electrical engineer Chuck Smith programmed some small circuits in front of his parent’s house and
connected them to five strings of Christmas lights to make the bushes look like they were chasing each other in slow motion.
Now almost 30 years after his original experiment, friends and neighbors refer to Smith’s Franklin, Tenn.,
home as Planet Christmas. He uses more than 130,000 miniature lights connected by seven miles of wire,
all controlled by a computer and nearly 400 circuits.
